Meet the Investment Advisors Team
Nicholas W. Maxwell
Nick grew up in the Fresno area and after graduating from Clovis High School, he moved to Southern California for college. He graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree from Azusa Pacific University, a private Christian university and immediately went into teaching. While studying to get his graduate degree he taught Math and Bible at the Jr. High level. He enjoyed what he did but there was an entrepreneurial side of Nick that was not being met as a teacher, so after six years in that profession he moved his young family back “home” to the Central Valley to go into the business of financial services.
He started with Edward Jones and eventually took on the task of opening a new branch for the firm in the Northern area of Clovis, CA. He obtained his Series 7 Federal Securities License, Series 66 Federal Registration License, and California Insurance License; he is licensed to provide investment advice and sell investment products in California as well as several other states. Although pleased with his career and thankful for the training and experience he received with Edward Jones, Nick knew there was a level of independence and purely impartial advice that could not be obtained working for the firm. So after six years he left Edward Jones, bringing the majority of his clients with him, to partner up with another Financial Advisor, Arlie Rogers, and started their own investment advisory firm. They chose to work through LPL Financial, the largest Broker Dealer in the country that catered to the Independent Financial Advisor. Nick and Arlie have always focused on helping people plan and save for retirement, and investing wisely to meet their clients’ financial goals.
In 2015, their firm partnered with Ahart Insurance Services and formed Ahart Investment Advisors to provide a level of service and advice uncommon in the employer sponsored retirement plan industry.
Arlie A. Rogers, Jr.
Arlie graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Business Management from a private university in Southern California. Knowing that he wanted to work in a client facing capacity, he immediately went to work in sales. A strong work ethic promoted him into sales management and eventually business ownership in the food industry. He sold the food business and moved back “home” to the Central Valley.
He then went to work for a boutique real estate development company, helping with land acquisition and entitlement, return on investment studies and other financial related analysis. He enjoyed the technical aspect of the financial work but missed the personal interaction from his selling days.
That led him into a career in personal financial advising. He started with Edward Jones, obtaining his Series 7 Federal Securities License, Series 66 Federal Registration License, and California Insurance License; he is licensed to provide investment advice and sell investment products in California as well as several other states. He opened and operated a new branch for Edward Jones in Kingsburg, CA where he currently lives. In December of 2012, he left Edward Jones to partner up with another Financial Advisor and open their own firm. They decided to specialize in helping people plan and save for retirement, and investing wisely to meet their clients’ financial goals.
In 2015, their firm partnered with Ahart Insurance Services to become Ahart Investment Advisors and provide a level of service and advice uncommon in the employer sponsored plan industry.
